The Most Dynamic Playmakers of the NEC

When Darian Anderson’s colliegiate career ended due to foot surgery on Monday, it robbed the Northeast Conference of one’s of its best guards. Anderson was instrumental, check that essential, in guiding Fairleigh Dickinson to their first NCAA tournament berth in more than a decade. His uncanny ability to create offense for himself and his teammates, as well as make clutch shot after clutch shot, was a critical reason the 2015-16 Knights made it to Dayton. Continue reading

Bashir Mason Optimistic Youthful Wagner Will Compete In NEC Play

One win versus a Division I opponent in 10 tries. Six of those losses ending in lopsided fashion. A once vaunted defense that finds itself near the bottom of college basketball having allowed 106.9 points per 100 possessions. Three Thoughts: Columbia 70, Wagner 56

After a last-second loss to Stony Brook to start the season Columbia welcomed Wagner to Levien Gymnasium on Tuesday night. The Lions were still without a number of key players due to injury and went almost 10.5 minutes in the second half without a field goal, but managed to pull out a 14-point victory over an inexperienced Wagner squad.
